Rebecca Beardmore is a current finalist in the 2018 Fremantle Arts Centre Print Award. Having previously won the award in 2010 and been invited to judge the prize in 2017, Rebecca is this year a finalist for her recent work Road.
This year marks the 43rd annual Fremantle Arts Centre Print Award. The competition showcases prints from established, emerging and cross-disciplinary artists. Each year the award presents works that celebrate traditional printmaking whilst also looking to the future of the medium. This year, there were 270 entries, which were reviewed by a judging panel consisting of Lisa Roet, Melbourne-based senior artist and practitioner; Ron Bradfield, Membership and Indigenous Development Manager with Artsource; and Annika Kristenson, the senior Curator at Australian Centre for Contemporary Art in Melbourne.
The winner of the prize will be announced on 13 September at the exhibition opening.
