Congratulations to Penelope Cain on being selected as a finalist in the 2017 Glenfiddich Artist in Residence Prize.
Now in its fifteenth year, The Glenfiddich Artists in Residence program offers Australian and New Zealand artists the chance to win a prize worth in excess of $20,000 AUD, which includes a three-month residency to live and work at The Glenfiddich Distillery near historic town of Dufftown, Scotland. Glenfiddich’s annual Residency Program is open to Australian and New Zealand artists, working across a range of mediums including painting, drawing, print-making, sculpture, installation, multi-media and video work.
The jury, made up of Sydney Contemporary Advisory Council members and Fair Director, will select a shortlist of artists to exhibit at Sydney Contemporary from the 7-10 September at Carriageworks. The winner will be chosen by Andy Fairgrieve, curator of the Residency, and announced on the 19th September, 2017.
