Congratulations to Hyun-Hee Lee, who has been announced as a finalist in the 2022 Jacaranda Acquisitive Drawing Prize with the work Autumn Poem.

The exhibition opens on Saturday 17 September at Grafton Regional Gallery and continues until Sunday 11 December before going on tour until mid 2024.
Hyun-Hee Lee writes:
‘The poem ‘By the Chrysanthemum’ by Seo, Jungju inspired me to create this work which in its entirety speaks about the order of the universe as experienced and symbolized by the Chrysanthemum.
My work shares the sentiments of this poem, of underlying loss and melancholia, but with the implication that winter will pass and bring new life and hope with spring.’
