Congratulations to Sam Holt and Hyun-Hee Lee, both of whom are finalists in the 2017 KAAF Prize.

The Korea-Australia Arts Foundation Prize (KAAFP) is run annually in cooperation with the Korean Cultural Centre (KCC) which is run by the Korean goverment. Selected artworks will be exhibited at the KCC in Sydney. The KAAFP for 2017 is open themed and medium to 2D art works. This art prize has non-acquisitive cash prizes totalling $15,000 for the artists.

KAAF’s main goal is to seek support for the Australian multicultural society and to take part in promoting and enhancing a truly cultural and ecological community by bringing artists together from diverse ethnicities, from all over the nation.

The 2017 judging panel is comprised of:

John McDonald, Art critic & Columnist, Sydney Morning Herald.

Colin Rhodes, Artist, Former Dean, Sydney College of the Arts.

Prof. Yongsun Suh, Artist, Former Dean, COFA, Seoul National University, by invitation.

The winner of the 2017 prize will be announced on Friday 24th November at the Korean Cultural Centre Australia Gallery.
