Artist Talk with Hayden Fowler
As part of the Installation Contemporary program

FRIDAY 8 SEPTEMBER
12:00 PM – 12:30 PM
Location: IC15

Hear artist Hayden Fowler discuss the making of his installation Australia – a work which explores the continents’ colonial history as an invasive capitalist endeavour.

Fowler’s practice is motivated by the global human-nature crisis, widely acknowledged to be at a point of no return. He is particularly concerned with the effect of lost natures on the human psyche, culture, and qualitative experience, and his ideas relate the destruction of the environment to the degradation of culture and denaturing of humanity.
